(b) What does this tell me? The breakeven per day, week and year for the business. It uses Sales and GP% as the basis for making this decision.

(c) Why should I use it? So you can monitor your business every day and week to see if are making money. If you know the breakeven point you can manage the business carefully to achieve the sales targets.

(d) Caution: This measure assumes you are including ALL your fixed costs. You need to be sure that the wages and other variable costs don't suddenly change and get outside the ability of the business to pay these costs from the available GP.
