(c) Why should I use it? To help determine a forecast volume and value for your promotion. It is no guarantee that these numbers will be achieved, but it should provide an indicative guide.
(d) Caution: Promotional performance can vary dramatically. The information from previous promotions and time periods may not take note of other differences such as competitors, seasons, events or economic conditions and thus may influence the ability of the calculator to provide a forecast that is even broadly correct. It is exceedingly rare for a forecast to be accurate, but this tool is designed to reduce the margin of error that most retailers encounter when forecasting promotions. The accuracy of any forecast also depends on the accuracy of implementation at store level. Any decisions you make as a result of this tool are entirely at your discretion.
